SINGAPORE OH SINGAPURA

During my last visit to singapore, I was appalled when informed by my australian friends that they got stopped at the causeway on the way in by the singaporean police/immigrations. Someone saw one of the occupants in the car , taking photos of the surrounding area midway of the causeway.

So all of them were taken to the office and were stuck there for a full hour. They were interviewed/profiled one by one...the question is 'why did you take photos there?'
And their answers were'1.we are tourists and we take pics of interest;2. midway photo scenery is reasonably memorable where we can see the tips of johor and singapore divided by the sea....'

But you were also taking pics of the water pipes?.....Answer ' yes we now realised that" But its only pipes?
' It is a security offence, and you have to erase all the pics in your card...otherwise a fine etc...'

They said after the ordeal,' this is the first and last time we are ever coming to singapore.'.

Note: A spy or would-be-terrorist will never take photos in broad daylight of a water pipe system.
